Americans Dylan Scott and Alyssa McElheny Win the 2026 HYROX World Championships

The 2026 HYROX World Championships delivered one of the closest finishes the sport has seen, and both singles titles went to the United States.

Men’s Elite 15: a 17-second podium

Dylan Scott won the men’s title in 53:47, holding off Louis Osselaer (54:02) and Tim Wenisch (54:04) in the final meters. Seventeen seconds separated first from third after eight kilometres of running and eight stations.

The result was an upset of sorts. Alexander Roncevic arrived in Stockholm as the pre-race favourite after breaking the world record in Warsaw in April (more on that in our world records story). Results from ROXFIT and TrainRox list Roncevic finishing in 54:18.

Place	Athlete	Time
1	Dylan Scott (USA)	53:47
2	Louis Osselaer	54:02
3	Tim Wenisch	54:04

Women’s Elite 15: a debut world title

Alyssa McElheny won the women’s race in 56:59 in her first World Championships appearance. Australia’s Joanna Wietrzyk (57:14) took second, and Sinéad Bent (57:24) finished third. Wietrzyk holds the current women’s Pro world record, which makes McElheny’s win even more impressive.

Place	Athlete	Time
1	Alyssa McElheny (USA)	56:59
2	Joanna Wietrzyk (AUS)	57:14
3	Sinéad Bent	57:24

Doubles: Weeks and Tafuto do it again

In the Elite women’s doubles, Americans Lauren Weeks and Vivian Tafuto won in 53:31, ahead of Sinéad Bent and Lucy Procter (53:56). The same pair holds the women’s Pro Doubles world record.
