Pack the night before

Photo ID and your HYROX confirmation (check your start wave and check-in time)
Race shoes you have already trained in
Race kit, plus warm layers for before the start
Grip gloves or chalk only if you have trained with them and the rules allow them for your division
Water bottle and electrolytes
Pre-race snack you have tested in training
Printed pace band and safety pins or tape
Change of clothes, towel and recovery shoes
Phone charger and headphones for the warm-up

Race morning

Eat your usual pre-session breakfast 2 to 3 hours before your wave
Sip fluids steadily. In dry Las Vegas air, add electrolytes
Leave early: venues are big and parking takes time
Pin or wear your timing items exactly as instructed at check-in

At the venue

Walk the course map: where the Roxzone entry and exit are, and where the run laps are counted
Watch an earlier wave on your hardest station
Warm up for 15 minutes: easy jog, drills and two short race-pace efforts
Use the toilet 20 to 30 minutes before your start

During the race

Run 1 at or slightly slower than your target. It is the easiest place to blow your race
Count your laps. Missing a lap is a common penalty
Stick to your planned wall ball sets
Grab water where offered; small sips beat big gulps

After the finish

Walk for 5 to 10 minutes before you sit down
Drink and eat within the hour
Check your splits online and note your slowest station for your next block
